Towie fly off on biggest cast trip EVER as show ditches Marbella for tropical location

Apr 21, 2022

THE Only Way Is Essex is getting a tropical twist – with bosses flying the cast to the Dominican Republic for the next series.

The lucky stars of the show will be whisked to the swish location at the start of June for their first abroad trip in over two years.

Not everyone will be getting a seat on the plane however, with the cast for the next series of the hit ITVBE show yet to be formally decided.

A source said: “Towie is coming back with a bang – and the cast are off to the Dominican Republic.

“It’s been months in the planning and all the details were signed off today.

“It is the most flash trip they’ve ever done – but given they’ve spent the last two years on home soil the bosses wanted to give the stars – and the fans – a treat.

“The cast are going to be flown out at the start of June but not everyone is going to get a ticket.

“It is by far the most exotic trip they have ever done and the sandy white beaches of the Caribbean island will make a beautiful backdrop for any drama that unfolds.

“From Puerto Banús to Punta Cana, this is a Marbella glow up of epic proportions.

“Those lucky enough to get a place on the plane are in for a treat.”

A source said at the time: “Towie is still hugely popular with viewers and it was a shame when filming for the new series had to be pushed back.

“But producers are keen to make sure the new series is brilliant and a glam new location is just what they need.”
