WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD FOR VENOM 2. Tom Hardy’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage is currently in cinemas and boy did it have an earth-shattering end credits scene. Now Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has spoken out on how it came together by teaming up with Sony.
Marvel fans will know Sony own the rights to Spider-Man and his villains, but have a deal with Disney for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker to feature in the MCU.
Meanwhile, the studio have their own Spider-Man universe, giving characters their own solo movies like Venom, Morbius and Kraven the Hunter.
There have been many questions over how those movies are related to Holland’s Spider-Man and now the Venom 2 end credits scene has given us the answer.
The special moment saw Hardy’s Eddie Brock relaxing on holiday in a hotel room with Venom, before the symbiote teased the existence of other universes.
Suddenly, the hotel room flickered and changed slightly before Venom gets up and looks at the TV.
There’s a news bulletin featuring JK Simmons’ J Jonah Jameson reporting that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is Peter Parker.
Marvel fans will know this Daily Bugle bulletin took place in the mid-credits scene for 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.
This confirms that the Venom movies have been set in another reality and Venom is now in the MCU.
Marvel Studios’ Eternals trailer
Of course, this has fans speculating that Hardy’s Venom will feature in MCU movie Spider-Man No Way Home this Christmas.
After all, it’s a multiverse movie that has already confirmed Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock will feature, while other characters and villains from other Sony Spider-Man movies are heavily rumoured.
That includes former Peter Parker stars Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who could well team up with Holland’s Web-Slinger.
Now Marvel boss Kevin Feige has commented on working on that Venom: Let There Be Carnage end credits scene.

Feige told The Hollywood Reporter: “There was a lot of coordination.
“And if you don’t know all the coordination yet, I’m not going to be the one to tell you — but yes, between Sony and Marvel and the Venom team and the No Way Home team.We worked together on it.”
The fact that the Spider-Man: No Way Home team worked on the Venom 2 end credits scene surely confirms Hardy’s Venom is in the movie?
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in cinemas on December 17, 2021.
