Below Deck is a reality series that has made its way across the globe, having originated in the US. The series follows a different crew each season as they entertain guests aboard luxury yachts all over the world. Fans are keen to know what happened during a medical emergency with guest Brandy.

What happened to Brandy on Below Deck?

Below Deck season seven was set in Thailand and the crew were looking after guests aboard the Valor.

One of the charter guests, Brandy, was seen struggling on the beach and she needed medical help.

She had not been feeling well and captain Lee Rosbach made the decision to monitor the situation.

He waited with her until the medical team arrived and took care of the ill guest. The medic advised Brandy to stick to juice as it was believed she had been drinking too much alcohol.

The crew had noticed how she had shown up seemingly “very drunk” and viewers were left wondering what was going on.

She was escorted away from the beach picnic and instantly became one of the most unforgettable guests.

Chef Kevin Dobson said he knew straight away something was not quite right about the guest.

He said: “The girl in the white dress is really drunk” as she began a tour of the yacht.

She spent most of the time resting while the rest of the group enjoyed a meal together.

During the beach picnic later on, she appeared faint and could not keep her head up.

Bosun Ashton Pienaar spoke to Distractify about the incident, saying: “We didn’t know what the issue was because it wasn’t just alcohol.

“It didn’t look like she was tripping on drugs. Maybe it was a mixture, I don’t know. I don’t know the facts of what she was on but from our side, it was very weird.

“We know how to handle a drunk person, but it was just very different because she would be fine, and then she would be completely out of it.”

The high temperatures in Thailand would have also contributed to Brandy’s condition.

Captain Lee later revealed how Brady had to spend hours in bed following her ordeal and he stayed with her the whole time.

Fans praised the captain on social media for his selflessness, as he had felt very concerned for her.

Speaking to Decider, he said: “The first thing I had to do was make sure that she was actually physically okay.

“After I was sure that she was physically okay then her mental state had to be addressed, which was like, I don’t know, it was like taking a burlap bag full of bobcats and they’re all trying to get out at the same time. I mean, she was just everywhere.”

Helen Hoey, one of the charter guests on the same yacht as Brandy, said she suffers from some underlying health issues.

She said her friend “suffers from seizures and panic attacks” during an interview with Another Below Deck Podcast.

The Valor crew is trained to deal with medical emergencies and they are able to administer first aid.

They must also earn a boating safety certificate, which covers CPR, first aid and other life-saving skills.

Below Deck airs on Bravo.
