Strictly Come Dancing shimmied back onto screens last month for the start of this year’s glamourous reality series. The BBC One show welcomed 15 new celebrities to the dance floor who will be working hard to get to the top of the leaderboard. To be able to stick around, they must not only impress the general public but the highly critical judges as well.

Last week saw the Strictly contestants dance with their professional partners for the first time.

As expected, it was a tense night for everyone with nerves running high all round but some managed to overcome any jitters and score big in Week One.

At the top of the leaderboard was presenter AJ Odudu and partner Kai Widdrington who scored a whopping 34 points.

They were closely followed by Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and Katya Jones with 30.

What time is Strictly Come Dancing on tonight?

Strictly fans will need to get nestled into their sofas a little earlier than last week.

Week Two of Strictly Come Dancing will begin at 6.45pm on Saturday, October, on BBC One.

All of the contestants will once again perform but sadly this weekend is going to be the first time someone is sent packing.

Combining this week’s and last week’s scores as well as the public votes, the two with the fewest will have to face the dreaded dance-off.

It will then be up to the judges to decide who stays and who goes.

The celebrity with the majority of the judges’ backing will remain in the competition, whereas their fellow dancer shall be sent home.

As always, Shirley Ballas is the head judge and so she gets the ultimate deciding vote.

But before anyone leaves, fans have the performances to look forward to.
