Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) is set to return to Coronation Street tonight (30 August) after disappearing off TV screens at the end of last year.

The actress has been on maternity leave, but is now ready to come back and reprise her role – a character she has played for 17 years.

When we last saw Fiz, she had made the decision to leave Weatherfield in order to get help for her daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan). Funnily enough, Jennie, 33, had just welcomed a daughter of her own in October last year, who she named after the iconic Coronation Street character Hilda Ogden.

But before we jump back into the drama with Fiz, here’s everything we know about Jennie’s family, including who her husband is and how many children they have together.

Who is Coronation Street’s Jennie McAlpine’s husband?

Jennie met Chris Farr, a restaurateur, in 2005 but the couple didn’t wed until 12 years later.

The wedding took place at Trafford Town Hall and was very low-key, so much so that almost no one knew it was happening as the couple decided to keep it secret.

A few days after the big day, Jennie broke the news on Twitter with a photo of her hand along with her husband’s, both of which could be seen wearing a gold ring on that finger.

They were inundated with happy messages from friends, family and Coronation Street stars, including Lucy-Jo Hudson, who used to be married to Jennie’s on-screen husband, Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs).

Jennie and Chris aren’t just partners in life, but also in business.

In 2012, the couple opened a restaurant together called Annies, which is located in Manchester. If you fancy popping by, expect ‘The Rovers Return meets the Ivy’.

How many children do Jennie McAlpine and her husband have?

Chris and Jennie welcomed their first child, Albert, now four years old, in November 2014.

Then, in April 2018, she revealed that their family of three was to become four, as the actress was pregnant once again.

‘We’ve got a bit of news,’ Jennie tweeted.

‘Pur baby boy is going to be a big brother later this year. We can’t wait to meet you precious one x.’

Just a few months later, in October, Hilda arrived.
