X Factor Celebrity contestant Jenny, who is widely known in her role as The Vixen on ITV quiz show The Chase, was knocked out of the series last night (Saturday, October 19), with many viewers feeling the judges had made an unfair decision, as fans quickly flooded to Twitter to say they would stop watching.

The Chase star, 37, stunned viewers with her audition last weekend, in which she sang Queen’s Somebody to Love, which was met by a standing ovation from the judges.

However, as the time came for the judges to decide which famous faces would be put through to the live shows, Nicole Scherzinger chose not to send Jenny forward, much to the outrage of viewers.

“This has been a huge risk for me, my performance went as well as I possibly could have dreamed of… I don’t think I could’ve done anymore,” Jenny said

Nicole, who is the mentor for the Overs category, issued Jenny with the news she would not be going through to the next stage of the competition.

She started off with positive comments, as she told The Vixen: “You brought me so much joy when you performed yesterday because I felt you felt joyful.”

Jenny replied: “It was such a wonderful experience that it still hasn’t quite sunk in yet.”

However, she then gave Jenny the verdict, which came as much of a surprise to viewers.

“Even though you have a very distinct, unique voice, I just wonder if you’re versatile enough in the live shows, I can’t give you a yes, I’m so sorry Jenny,” the judge told her.

Jenny, who was clearly frustrated by the news, told the judges “I’m shaking so hard” as she walked away.

Fans were quick to express their upset at the decision, with one even dubbing it “the biggest TV tragedy of the year” on Twitter.

“Everyone stood for Jenny and she got a NO wtf! #XFactor,” shared one.

Another asked: “How on earth did Ricki Lake and Martin Bashir get through instead of Jenny Ryan?! #XFactor Celebrity.”

A third viewer believed the show was “fixed” after the result, saying: “Disgusted that Jenny Ryan was kicked from the show last night, she was by far the best singer there and deserved a place in the lives, won’t be watching the show any longer as this proves it’s fixed.”

Another shocked fan said: “How did Jenny not get through?? Wtf?!! #XFactorCelebrity.”

“Jenny really was robbed, she honestly deserved it so much, gutted. #XFactorCelebrity,” tweeted a fifth.

Host of Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, Rylan Clark-Neal, also expressed his disappointment with the result.
